Back Cove Music Festival Info | August 2–3
The Back Cove Music & Arts Festival is happening in Payson Park this weekend, August 2–3.This is a major event, and with parts of the park already closed off and normal access routes disrupted, we know many of you are feeling concerned about road closures, neighborhood access, parking, and how to navigate the park during the festival.Baxter Boulevard will be closed from Vannah Avenue to Bates Street starting Saturday, 8/2 at approximately 8:00 AM, and closed until late evening Sunday, 8/3, when deemed safe to reopen by City Staff.Payson Park roads (Arboretum Road Catafalque Drive, and Inlet Road via Baxter Boulevard) will be closed for the duration of the festival, Friday afternoon 8/1 to Monday 8/4 mid-day, until deemed safe by City Staff. Neighborhood streets (West Kidder Street and Fernald Street) accessing Payson Park will be limited to residents only starting the evening of Friday, 8/1 until Monday morning, 8/4, when deemed safe by City StaffThe City has put together a Traffic Advisory outlining expectations and plans for the event. CornerFest 2025: Celebrating 10 Years of Friends of Woodfords Corner!
Friday, September 12, 5:00 – 8:30 pm
(rain date: Saturday, September 13) Grace Street
What is CornerFest 2025? ● In the heart of Woodfords Corner, we’ll close Grace Street to vehicle traffic and create a free, festive neighborhood block party with games, music, food, and friends. ● We plan to showcase the best of Woodfords Corner, and invite area businesses and organizations to set up “stalls” to sell their products or promote their work with a fun activity/game. ● Area restaurants and eateries will sell food and drinks, and the VFW will host an outdoor beer garden. ● We’ll have musical acts, culminating in a dance party at the end of the night!
