INDEPENDENT SENIORS NETWORK
Back Cove’s Independent Seniors Network is a network of volunteers that perform services to help our seniors remain independent. The services are all provided by volunteers who are vetted prior to interacting with the members. The services consist of transportation to appointments and social activities, assistance with shopping and errands, light household chores, light gardening, phone call check-ins, computer assistance, friendly visits, bringing trash to the street, and handyman assistance. We also endeavor to connect members with each other and help to combat social isolation.

We are currently experiencing a shortage of available volunteers to provide the many services our members require. Transportation to medical appointments and grocery shopping are the greatest needs right now. If you or someone you know would be willing to join our volunteer force, please let us know. Volunteers choose what services they’d like to provide and how often they’d be willing to do so.

If you need assistance, would like to know more about us, or know of any neighbors we could help also, please contact us.  For more information, our website is www.independentseniorsnetwork.org, our phone is 207-370-1896, our email is info@independentseniorsnetwork.org,  or you can contact Carol Colton directly at ccolton@independentseniorsnetwork.org or 508-728-1296. We would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
